Training follows the TESDA Training Regulations for Tile Setting NC II (Construction Sector). Graduates are prepared for national assessment toward the NC II certificate and for work as Tile Setter — in high demand for residential, commercial, and infrastructure finishing works. Reservations undergo initial assessment by the Registrar when the next batch opens.

Minimum Qualifications
- At least 18 years old at the start of training (TESDA scholarship requirement)
- At least Junior High School completer, ALS Certificate of Completion (Grade 10 equivalent), or a Masonry NC I holder
- Able to communicate orally and in writing
- Physically and mentally fit (a medical certificate is required)
- Of good moral character
- Able to perform basic mathematical computations
Documentary Requirements
- PSA Birth Certificate (photocopy; bring the original for verification)
- Proof of educational attainment: Form 137/138, High School or SHS diploma, or ALS certificate
- Two (2) passport-size ID photos, white background, with name tag
- Barangay Clearance or Certificate of Residency
- Medical Certificate (fit for training) from a licensed physician
- One (1) valid government-issued ID (photocopy)
The Registrar confirms the final checklist during assessment; additional documents may be requested for TESDA scholarship processing.
Course Outline & Syllabus
Structured per the official TESDA competency standards. Total nominal duration: 82 hours.
Module 1 — Basic Competencies
- Participate in workplace communication
- Work in a team environment
- Practice career professionalism
- Practice occupational health and safety procedures
Module 2 — Common Competencies (Construction)
- Prepare construction materials and tools
- Observe procedures, specifications and manuals of instruction
- Interpret technical drawings and plans
- Perform mensurations and calculations
- Maintain tools and equipment
Module 3 — Core Competencies

Lay floor and wall tiles
Surface preparation, layout, adhesive application, and laying tiles level and true on floors and walls per the plan and industry standards.

Repair floor and wall tiles
Removing damaged tiles, preparing the substrate, and replacing tiles to match the existing finish.

Tile corners
Cutting and fitting tiles for internal and external corners with clean, professional edges and trims.

Tile curved surfaces
Setting out and tiling curved and irregular surfaces — columns, arches, and decorative features.
